From Buddhist altars, paper lanterns, handmade Japanese paper, stone lanterns, etc., the Yame Traditional Craftwork Center is a facility showcasing and displaying the traditional handicrafts of Yame City under one roof. Located at the center is the largest stone lantern and Buddhist altar in Japan as well as a jumbo paper lantern. The Yame Traditional Craftwork Center also has an area which displays and sells traditional handicrafts of Yame and local products.
