Experience Ecology/Environment Industries Nature
The Nanaura District, located in the southern part of Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, is blessed with the abundant nature of the Tara Mountains including Mount Kyoga, the highest mountain in the prefecture at 1076 meters (3530 feet), and the Ariake Sea. About half of the population of roughly 4,000 who call this energetic district their home work in primary industries. In addition to trying a “Higata” (tidal flat) experience at the Ariake Sea or an agriculture experience, visitors to Kashima can also try staying over at a private residence, and is referred to a Minpaku experience in Japanese.
