The “Kurozu Information Center” introduces the characteristics and manufacturing method of local vinegar, called “aman” in Kagoshima. Visitors can learn about the uniqueness of this land as well as the process of how vinegar is made and the characteristics of vinegar, vinegar made in natural jars which have been handed down through the times. Visitors can look at and is a facility which allows visitors to hear and see the various information on the many kinds of vinegar. Also on the grounds is the Kurozu Restaurant. The feature of natural black vinegar made from only rice malt, steamed rice and underground water is its rich mild taste. Black vinegar is effective in promoting health as it is full of minerals, organic and amino acids and is said to lower cholesterol levels.
